You can use separate FTP accounts to manage your website content if you have several websites within the exact same website hosting account. You can grant different people access only to particular directories, for example – web developers or IT persons from the company, and be sure that they will not be able to access any other files or anything else in the website hosting account, as the FTP accounts have restricted access. Also, you can set up and manage a number of different websites at once using a web design application like Dreamweaver or FrontPage (as these apps use FTP to access the web server) and publish your website files both when you create them and when you update them. A vital part of doing these tasks is the option to create and manage your FTP accounts quickly and easily.

FTP Manager in Cloud Hosting

Our custom-developed Hepsia Control Panel, which is included with every cloud hosting package, will give you access to a number of features to manage your FTP accounts easily via the FTP Manager section. If you wish to set up a new FTP account, to edit the password pertaining to an existing one or delete it completely, it won’t take more than one click of the mouse. Unlike other Control Panels where you have to set up a new account in case you need to acquire access to some other directory, our FTP Manager will enable you to modify the access path for an active account very easily and you will be able to view the paths for all the accounts as soon as you visit the FTP Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel. For convenience’s sake, you can set up an account on your computer by downloading and running an auto-config file for several FTP programs – FileZilla, CyberDuck, Core FTP. You can also arrange all the accounts in descending or ascending order based on their access paths or usernames and locate the one that you want faster and easier.

FTP Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers

Our semi-dedicated server configurations are administered through the simple-to-work-with, in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel. One of its sections – the FTP Manager, is dedicated to managing your FTP accounts and everything associated with them, so you’ll be able to administer all the accounts swiftly and seamlessly. It will take one click to set up a new account, to remove an existing one or simply to change its password. You can also view the complete list of your FTP accounts in this section of the Control Panel and, for your convenience, you can sort them in alphabetical order – descending or ascending, either by username or by their access path. Changing the path for a particular account is also easy – you just need to click on it and choose the new directory in the pop-up window that will show up, so you will not have to create a new FTP account if you simply want to specify what website files an existing one can access. You can also use auto-configuration files for famous FTP client programs like FileZilla and Core FTP.
